Listen Up!

Yo whattup viewers. I was just reading through the Source, and I came across an article titled "THREAT LEVEL." It can be found in the April 2007 issue of the Source. Nelson George a hip hop scribe labled by the Source is now the film director for a new HBO film called "Life Support." Basically this film was put together to enlighten most ignorant individuals about the disease HIV/AIDS. Playing the character Ana, Queen Latifah the much respected MC and actor for the black community gives us an in-depth picture of what it is like to be infected with HIV/AIDS. During the interview Nelson George gives a very livid response to the question, "What do you say to those who underplay the significance of the disease or who don't fully believe the impact?" Nelson responds, "It doesn't matter where AIDS came from because it's here and it's affecting the lives of lots of people."
